A laser is a single-wavelength (source of high-energy light). There are so many different types of lasers on the market, all offering different treatments. There are lasers to perform eye surgery, whiten teeth, remove tattoos, for measuring and also for cutting metal, They are each very different LASERS. Depending which wavelength is used, in the beauty industry, different things can be treated. wrinkles, tattoo and small spider vein removal. The types of lasers used within XORA clinics are a gentle and non invasive alternative to plastic surgery and can take years away from your face and improve a number of skin concerns
Light radiates from its sources in waves. Like an ocean, it has measurable height, length and duration.
While these wavelengths are visible to the human eye, infrared light can cause changes within the body. Specific wavelengths achieve different results.

There are no equal standards for LASER operation training across Australia, as each state has their own regulations, but we hope this to change in the near future.
Standardised education and mandatory learning for all operators are essential for the health and safety of you - the client. Currently, in NSW, you do not require any education on how to operate a laser.
Rest assured, Dr Lisa Mason at XORA Health in Collaroy Plateau has been certified to handle and operate a medical grade LASER for health and beauty, and is a recognised LASER safety technician.
RF is a very comfortable treatment, and uses energy to heat specific layers of the skin not the top layers, which is how collagen production can be targeted, helping to improve the skin tone and structure - used for such things as blemish removal, skin rejuvenation and tightening, and getting rid of unwanted hair. It is a milder treatment than LASER.
There is no down time. You may look like you have been in the sun for a few hours.
LASERS use light to target the tissue, and penetrates the skins surface layers, and is effective in combating wrinkles, skin irregularities, such as pigmentation or acne scars, it assists with reducing the effects of aging and promotes skin tightening.
A Pico-Second LASER is used for your maximum safety and treatment benefits.
There is virtually little to no down time with these treatments. You may experience a little redness for a day or two. (depending on the treatment)
Ablative LASER. This is a wounding laser that removes the thin outer layer of skin (epidermis) and heats the underlying skin (dermis), which stimulates the growth of new collagen fibers. As the epidermis heals and regrows, the treated area appears smoother and tighter. There is often up to a week or more down time, as the area treated becomes very red and sore.
Non-Ablative LASER. This is a non-wounding laser that stimulates collagen growth, which over time helps improve skin tone and texture. This approach can be done with various types of lasers as well as intense pulsed light (IPL) devices. Nonablative laser resurfacing is less invasive and requires less recovery time than does an ablative laser.
There is little to no down time post-treatment, whilst it is less severe, it is also less effective than an ablative laser.
Professional Picosecond Q-Switch lasers use pulse durations of less than 1 nanosecond, which causes predominantly photoacoustic damage rather than photothermal destruction (no heat) of pigment or ink particles.
This results in effective clearance of abnormal pigment, while minimising heat damage to the surrounding tissue, like older more inferior LASERs are prone to do.
IPL LASER Treatments IPL is an acronym for Intense Pulsed Light. It is a technology used by practitioners to perform various skin treatments for aesthetic and therapeutic purposes, including hair removal, photorejuvenation as well as to alleviate dermatologic diseases such as acne.
Treatments are found to be quite tolérable - perhaps mildly uncomfortable, but not painful, and work very quickly - less treatments required than other LASER methods.
With it, you can not only save a lot of money, but also save time.
Efficient: The laser beam can effectively resolve melanin into fine particles, to promote skin metabolism and reduce melanin deposits.
Faster: Faster laser beam and more focused laser energy to clean and remove long-standing melanin problems.
Effective: More powerful laser beam. cause no damage to skin tissues and clean more comprehensively. Comprehensive: Reduce freckles and dark spots, refine skin from within.
Safe: Relatively painless and no damage to skin tissues, safe to use.
E-Light / IPL LASER is a combination of IPL and Radio Frequency The big advantage of combining IPL and Radio Frequency is it reaches deeper down and does not affect melanin in the skin, so all skin types can be treated, which IPL cannot alone.
It is a painless treatment, and generally takes up to 6 treatments to achieve your ultimate desired end result.
E-Light/IPL can be used to treat the following skin issues; Fades freckles, sunspots and pigmentation reduces redness, rosacea and scarring reduces spider veins and broken red capillaries smoother, clearer skin firmer skin fine lines & wrinkles softened Improves sun damage reduces pore size clears acne
