Laser light can be specifically and accurately focused to transmit light on to a very small area to treat things such as
* hair removal * pigmentation * blemishes * acne & scar removal * fine lines * anti-wrinkle * tattoo removal and * small spider vein removal.
LASERS use heat (and light) to stimulate the growth of fibroblasts in the cells of the skin, which are precursors to new the growth and production of collagen in the skin. More collagen means firmer, fresher, younger-looking skin.
Collagen is gradually lost as we age - hence the appearance of thinner skin and wrinkles as we get older.
Our treatments are a non invasive alternative to plastic surgery and can take years away from your face and improve a number of skin concerns
Generally, for LASER treatments, you will have an end goal in mind.
Whether be it to reduce wrinkles, pigmentation, pore size, acne or have smoother clearer & firmer more radiant looking skin etc.
As you can appreciate, everybody's age, skin type and damage is different from person to person, so treatment amounts can vary significantly.
Generally, for Pico-Second LASER treatments, 2-4 treatments is a good guideline to achieve maximum results, whilst with Elight/SHR LASER treatments, you may need 4-6 treatments to achieve your desired results.
All treatments are individually based, and assessed just for you.
When you have achieved your desired results.... that's all you need!
Professional Picosecond lasers use pulse durations of less than 1 nanosecond, which causes predominantly photoacoustic damage rather than photothermal destruction (no heat) of pigment or ink particles. This results in effective clearance of abnormal pigment, while minimising heat damage to the surrounding tissue like older more inferior LASERs are prone to do.
Treatments are found to be mildly uncomfortable, not painful, but work very quickly - less treatments required than other LASER methods.
With it, you can not only save a lot of money, but save a lot of time.
IPL LASER Treatments
IPL is an acronym for Intense Pulsed Light. It is a technology used by practitioners to perform various skin treatments for aesthetic and therapeutic purposes, including hair removal, photorejuvenation as well as to alleviate dermatologic diseases such as acne.
The big advantage of combining IPL and Radio Frequency is it reaches deeper down and does not affect melanin in the skin, so all skin types can be treated, which IPL cannot alone. It is a painless treatment, but may take more treatments than a Pico-Second LASER to achieve your ultimate end result.
E-Light/IPL can be used to treat the following skin issues;
The whole body can all be treated for acne & scar removal.
It is a simple procedure with minimal discomfort
The treatment sessions are quick & non-invasive.
Often the results are very effective., which are usually seen between 3-7 treatments. Acne scarring laser treatments won’t always completely remove the acne scars but it can definitely reduce their visibility.
* To better prepare for your treatment, clean and lightly exfoliate the area to be treated.
* No tanning, whether naturally or with a tanning bed, at least 2 weeks before your session.
* Damaged or Sunburned skin cannot undergo laser treatments
As we age, we loose elastin and collagen in our skin layers. It is these support structures that help us look young.
Laser skin revitalisation treatments use targeted and specific pulses of light to penetrate the skin’s layers.
The body’s natural healing process then rebuilds the collagen within the skin tissue, leaving you with a more even texture, skin tone and fewer wrinkles.
Depending on your individual requirements and the treatment used, some patients only need one treatment to see great results and achieve their desired outcome.
In other instances, several treatments will be required.
* Ensure to clean and exfoliate prior to each session
* Damaged or Sunburned skin cannot undergo laser treatments.
With our laser hair removal treatments, you can quickly and easily reduce unwanted hair anywhere on your entire body or face.
Depending on your skin and hair colour, you can expect to have around 6 sessions to see good results in long term hair removal.
The lighter your skin and the darker your hair, the better the results.
Since the treatments produce long-lasting results, you won’t need to worry about hair removal for a very long time, if ever again.
* Before your laser hair removal session, the area should be shaved no sooner than 24 hours prior.
* Waxing, tweezing and any other treatments that pull the hair out at the root should be avoided.
* Direct sun exposure and UV tanning beds should be avoided for at least two weeks before your session.
* Damaged or Sunburned skin cannot undergo laser treatments. So do not tan prior to any session.
An excessive build-up of melanocytes (skin cells containing melanin - our 'tanning' ability) causes the brownish spots and marks on your skin (known as skin pigmentation or hyperpigmentation.).
Pigmentation or hyperpigmentation may also be in the form of melasma, sun spots, age spots, or pigmented birthmarks on the face, arms, or legs.
LASER produces a wavelength of high energy light which is then converted into heat energy which efficiently destroys cells containing pigmentation - all without damaging the surrounding healthy tissue.
LASER treatment minimizes and eventually eliminates the appearance of pigmentation. It doesn’t have major side effects and takes little recovery time.
You can safely wear makeup post the treatment.
Any pigmentation removal treatment requires a pre-check with your skin care specialist or doctor to ensure that more serious conditions (like skin cancers) are not present or not masked because of discolouration removal.
Skin Rejuvenation LASER treatment is a facial rejuvenation procedure that uses a laser to improve the skin's appearance or treat minor facial flaws. It can be done with:
There is little to no down time post-treatment, whilst it is less severe, it is also less effective than an ablative laser.
We choose to use Non-ablative LASERs within XORA clinics not only to gently stimulate natural collagen growth, improve pores, remove irregular pigmentation and reduce fine lines and wrinkles, but to reduce unwanted side effects and complications.
Pico-Second LASER is very effective and safe in removing Plantar Warts.
The LASER attacks at the root level of the plantar wart. The heat from the LASER helps kill the virus of the wart at the root level, and has a higher success rate than with other topical methods of removal, with excess of a 70% success rate. Depending on the age, size and depth of the wart, treatment can be very quick - and in some instances - spontaneous.
RF is a very comfortable treatment, and uses energy to heat specific layers of the skin not the top layers, which is how collagen production can be targeted, helping to improve the skin tone and structure - used for such things as blemish removal, skin rejuvenation and tightening, and getting rid of unwanted hair. It is a milder treatment than LASER.
There is no down time. You may look like you have been in the sun for a few hours.
LASERS use light to target the tissue, and penetrates the skins surface layers, and is effective in combating wrinkles, skin irregularities, such as pigmentation or acne scars, it assists with reducing the effects of aging and promotes skin tightening.
A Pico-Second LASER is used for your maximum safety and treatment benefits.
There is virtually little to no down time with these treatments. You may experience a little redness for a day or two. (depending on the treatment)
