✅ Pre-Cryo Facial Preparation Checklist
Before Your Cryo Treatment
1. Clean Skin
Make sure the skin is completely clean before any body sculpting or cryo northern beaches treatment. Remove all makeup, moisturizers, sunscreen, and oils. Avoid applying any active skincare products (like retinol, AHAs, BHAs, or vitamin C) 24 hours before your appointment to ensure optimal results.
2. Avoid Sun Exposure
No sunbathing or tanning beds for at least 48 hours prior. Cryo treatments on sunburned or heat-sensitive skin are not recommended, especially if you are looking at fast fat loss or localized fat loss.
3. Stay Hydrated
Drink plenty of water leading up to your appointment – hydrated skin responds better and heals faster, which is essential for effective fat loss.
4. Skip Harsh Treatments
Avoid chemical peels, microneedling, laser, waxing, or other exfoliating treatments for 3–7 days prior, depending on intensity, particularly if you're considering frotox facial or pico laser treatments.
5. Shave If Necessary
If treating the jawline or neck, clients should shave at least 8 hours beforehand to avoid irritation (if applicable), ensuring a smoother experience for tattoo removal or other procedures.
6. No Alcohol or Caffeine Right Before
These can constrict blood vessels and may interfere with results, particularly for pain management and reducing swelling.
7. Tell Your Practitioner If You Have:
Cold sensitivity, Raynaud’s disease, circulatory disorders, recent injectables or fillers (within 2 weeks), broken skin, rashes, or active acne in the treatment area, or a history of cold sores (antiviral cream may be advised beforehand). This is especially crucial for treatments related to tummy fat loss and under arm fat loss.
